Weapon of choice: None, Melein is nonviolent... as far as you know.
Clothing: Depends usually on what the occasion is, but mainly plain dresses so as not to
draw attention to herself..her hair does that for her. Usually dark colors like black,
blue, purple, green, and silver.

Siblings: Jasmine Luna Ylsander, twin sister
Brief History: Melein and her sister were born at a time when most parents would be
expecting grandchildren. The King and Queen were quite wrapped up in each other.
Melein is 18 years old. her father is the
ruler of Ecnamore. her mother died when the girls
were 10. Their father was very wrapped up in his wife and when she died he seemed to lose
his interest in things. He started to drink and gamble, secretly indebting the planet to
other planets. Melein is the younger twin and over the years she has watched her sister
take more and more of the responsibilities, and notices she is Queen in all but name.
Although Melein is Jealous, she knows she would never survive as queen in such a harsh,
cruel world. She notices that her sister sees herseld as responsible for her and tries to
be mother, father, friend and sister all. Melein has an awe-inspiring artistical talent,
and feels indebted to her sister who gets her all of the best teachers, but she also feels
useless in the eyes of the people of Ecnamore. Melein is very shy, and rarely talks. Her
shy smiles are rare, and her tears are shed often. She realizes how her sister takes her
position very seriously and that she has allowed nothing else into her life, and wishes
that somehow she could help her find happiness, and love if it is to be. She is totally
devoted to her elder twin sister, and wishes her the best, as Queen of Ecnamore, being
happy to sit as grand dutchess at her side. The Melein was born at dawn but Jasmine under
the full moon at midnight. The girls are sun and moon, golden and silver, night and day.
Melein is Cheerful and loving, if shy, a favorite with the people. They love her whereas
they respect Jasmine. She is a child of the sunshine as Jasmine is a child of the
moonshadows.
Melein has no true friends, nor any suitors or courtiers. She involves herself in her
paintings just as Jasmine involves herself in the running of Ecnamore.
Melein went to the temple to find a new aura to paint within, leaving her crown and a note
for her twin, knowing it would break her heart to find her gone without a goodbye, but
knowing she could not leave otherwise.
