Brief History: Jasmine and her sister were born at atime when most parents would be
expecting grandchildren. The king and Queen were quite wrapped up in each other.
Jasmine is 18 years old. her father is the
ruler of Ecnamore. her mother died when the girls
were 10. Their father was very wrapped up in his wife and when she died he seemed to lose
his interest in things. He started to drink and gamble, secretly indebting the planet to
other planets. Jasmine is the older twin and over the years she has taken more and more
responsibility from her father. Jasmine is queen in all but name. She makes most of the
decisions regarding the planet.
She sees herself as responsible for her sister and
tries to be mother, father, friend and sister all. She hires the best teachers for her
sister who has an artistic talent.
Jasmine is rather cold and austere. She seldom smiles and even more rarely laughs. She
takes her position very seriously and has allowed nothing else in her life. She is however
totally devoted to her younger twin sister. Melein was born at dawn but Jasmine under the
full moon at midnight. The girls are sun and moon, golden and silver, night and day.
Melein is Cheerful and
loving, a favourite with the people. They love her
whereas they respect Jasmine. She is a child of the sunshine and Jasmine is a child of the
moonshadows.
Jasmine has no real friends except for her sister and an elderly adviser. Most of her
energies are spent in finding ways to keep her planet out of debt and maintain the
semblance of order in front of the people.
Most likely she is headed to the temple for her sister.
